Dentist

Kitty has been asking to go to the dentist about once a week since she went 6 months ago. In fact, if I tell her to brush her teeth she'll tell me she doesn't need to because Dr. Diane will clean them for her. After this visit, she's not so keen to go back. She had 4 cavities to fill. Coleen had none and Paul had a little tiny one we're going to just try to keep scrupulously clean. After the visit to the dentist, I took her over to the toy store and got her a new baby doll. She was just pitiful crying because it hurt. It breaks my heart when this one is hurting. She looks so sad all the time, so when she really is sad she looks devastated. Posted by Picasa

Aww, poor thing. Did you use anesthesia, or did it not work?

We used anesthesia, but for some reason my kids and I require huge amounts of anesthesia. So, usually on the kids she can drill with no problem, but when it comes time to fill it they start feeling things. So, it requires a few more shots then to different locations. Then it was hurting afterwards since she had so much anesthesia she kept biting her cheek. She couldn't drink, because everything just dribbled out of her mouth. It was pitiful. I spent way too much money trying to make her happier, but at least it was on things I've been wanting to get anyway (a Corolle anatomically correct doll mainly.)
